A QR code is an image that contains information. It is a 3D barcode. The information may be a link to a website address, a text message, a phone number, or other short piece of information.

Where are QR codes?
QR codes are simply images – they can be on any document, poster, website, media message, newspaper advertisement, magazine advertisement, etc.

How do you read a QR code?
Most smart phones have a barcode scanner application that can read a QR code. A desktop computer can download a QR reader software and then use a webcam.
